one of the last game for the xbox of the 2008 year and a game that surprised me the most. The game is set in ancient Persia, although the exact century is not revealed. In the game, the player assumes the role of the Prince, whose name is not revealed in the game. The Prince is accompanied by a girl named Elika, whom he met after a large sandstorm diverted him from his course and he ended up in a mysterious land. Players traverse many different environments using the Prince's acrobatic abilities to scale walls and even crawl on the ceilings. Throughout the journey, players combat various enemies as they attempt to cleanse the land of corruption.
the game play is much the same from the sand of time game from the GC. but with this being a NEW Prince of Persia game you do not need to know the back story to play this one as its a new game with a new main character. Elika helps out with fighting, showing you the way when running from place to place, and saving your butt when you fall off the side after an unsuccessful wall run. Elika has the magic power that increase in strength as the game goes and and some times new powers are added to help in getting form place to place. (make sure you get the yellow and green powers first)
the story begins as the Prince is caught in a fierce sandstorm while seeking his donkey. The Prince, unable to see because of the sand, stumbles into Elika, who requests that he follow her into a temple at the center of the kingdom. When they arrive inside the temple, Elika's father destroys the tree of life, which begins to free the god Ahriman, who was imprisoned by the god Ormazd, whom the Ahura worship. With the tree of life destroyed, Ahriman begins plaguing the land with Corruption. Elika explains that there are multiple fertile grounds found throughout the land that she has to reach and heal in order to again give the tree of life power and stop Ahriman from escaping.
As the Prince and Elika travel to and heal each fertile ground, Elika reveals her past; first her mother died, and then Elika did as well. Her father, the Mourning King, could not handle his grief, and made a deal with Ahriman. The Mourning King freed Ahriman, who resurrected Elika in return. After the the lands have been cleansed of Corruption, the duo returns to the temple to cleanse it as well a final step in stopping Ahriman.
i got the demo to try it out and i fell in love with it within the first few stages and wanted to continue until the very end. now i went online to buy the game and got the limited addition one that for the same price got and extra disk with extra content for the game. i would say BUY THIS GAME! the voice acting for this game is great with a few funny line here and there. its very interesting that it goes from the long slow path of walking to the faster wall running or climbing up a pole try it and experience a new game play

after playing the main story of the game the last achievement was called "to be continued" meaning that the story was not over and guess what its not. now out is the Prince of Persia DLC that take place a few hours after the main story. it is VERY important to play the main game BEFORE you play the DLC or else you will be at a total loss and not understand it. this time the game got a kick in the butt boost in difficulty but the difficult level is more of a frustrating level then just plan hard. this time around you will need elika's help more than in the main story. there are 2 "bosses" a shape shifter and the main boss elika's father. the shape shifter is by far the most frustrating boss ever! if he is the rock guy you can not hurt him in any form unless you push him off the side but all he does is change into the warrior which is faster and will continue to him with no end in sight. the first time i fought against him it took me no lie 30 mins just to kill him the first time. still had 2-3 more times i had to fight him and the fights got longer and harder. the puzzle and mazes are a bit easyer compared to the main game but that is not a big deal its the style of game play that make up for everything else. at the end of this story there is not to be continued achievement but more of a there will be more end to this story (if you have played the game you will know what i am talking about. so in conclusion this DLC is ok it gives you more to the game and tells you that there will be more which is great because i am not a big fan of the game and any more that will follow. if you have this game BUY THE DLC!!!!
