This is poem written in a very, very strong Scots tongue and I wonder if anyone here can translate it. You can't use a translator because, technically, it's not a 'real' language .
See ma mammy See ma dinner ticket A pititnma Pokit an she pititny Washnmachine.
See thon burnty Up werrs firewiz Ma mammy says Am no tellnyagain No'y playnit. A jist wen'y eatma Pokacrisps furma dinner Nabigwoffldoon.
The wummin sed Aver near Clapsd Jistur heednur Wee wellies sticknoot.
They sed Wot heppind? Nme'nma belly Na bedna hospital. A sed A pititnma Pokit an she pititny Washnmachine.
They sed Ees thees chaild ebslootly Non verbal? A sed MA BUMSAIR Nwen'y sleep.

See my mummy See my dinner ticket I put it in my Pocket and she put it in the Washing machine
That's as far as I got so far, I'll keep trying though.

I've been trying. I got the first three verses, but then I got stuck....
They don't REALLY speak like that in Scotland, right?

Here's my absolute best reading of it.
See my mummy See my dinner ticket I put it in my Pocket and she put it in the Washing machine
So then burnt it Up worse fireworks My mummy says I'm not telling you again Not to play in it I just went to eat my Pack of crisps for my dinner And a big waffle down.
The woman said I've near Collapsed Just your head and your Wee willy's sticking out.
They said What happened? And me and my belly In a bed in a hospital. I said I put it in my Pocket and she put it in the Washing machine.
They said Is this child absolutely Non verbal? I said MY BUM'S SORE And went to sleep.

A bit's wrong here, "see that burnty" translates to "do you know that burnt out building (I think). The next line is "Up where the fire was". The rest it fine other than the last line. It means "And I ate them quickly". Literally it says "And I waffled them down". [/quote]

The last line here is actually "Wee wellies sticking out" More family friendly I'd say.

All correct!
Nice work, Roy, I'll give you a B. Especially since you live on the side of the Earth.

The Earth doesn't have sides. Or it has infinite sides. Either way it's kinda odd to say I live on the side of the Earth.
Also, how is any of that a poem?

How isn't a poem? They don't have to rhyme. And don't read too much into it, just an expression for someone who lives far away from you.

Okay, so I had to delete the last minute of typing I put into this here text box, since I don't think I can get away with quote-unquote "harmless joke racism", the way I was going.
In any case, yay for me, I got a B. I'm gonna put it in my pocket and then put it in the washing machine.
