     Tekken petition

PostSubject: Tekken petition   Wed Apr 15, 2009 2:54 am

Do you have any desire to port Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection or Tekken 6 to the Wii at some point? Why or why not?

Katsuhiro Harada: That would be very interesting. Like the Xbox 360 owners, if Wii owners are passionate and make it known they really want the series on their system, we would love to be able to answer that request.

Hearing about the huge number of Xbox 360 owners who are Tekken fans, especially in North America, definitely played a huge part in influencing us to bring the game to that system.

As for the Wii, the standard controller lacks the right number of buttons and the placement is awkward, so... I suppose the classic controller could handle it!

Even if you aren't a Tekken or fighting fan, I think you'll agree that the Wii needs a few more titles that are considered "hardcore". If Harada is making claims that a Tekken game for Wii will be developed if Wii fans demand it, then make him live up to his promise. Plus, if this petition actually succeeds, it might influence other developers to develop for the Wii.

The more diverse titles the Wii has, the better.

I've always enjoyed playing the Tekken games, I especially love Tekken Tag + Bowl. Hehe. I think Tekken would make a great addition to Wii's line up. I'm signing.

Looking at the number of signatures, I don't think that it's going to happen. Oh well, at least we tried.

Even if it's not happening, I signed. Tekken 4 was so awesome, especially the bear/panda!
