You know, at first I couldn't stand this show. I thought it was about a bunch of dumb rednecks and didn't give it much of a chance...but you know, after they put it on Adult Swim, I started watching it and realized that it really is a great show. Sure it's not laugh out loud funny like some shows on Adult Swim, but it has good morals and can be pretty funny. I especially like episodes with Hank's Dad..those are usually pretty hilarious.

What I love about King of the Hill is that it's not the traditional prime time cartoon. It's not filled with off the wall gags and one liners like the Simpsons and Family Guy. Instead, it's more like an animated seriocomedy. It's never laugh out loud funny, and most of the situations in the show are ones that we could find ourselves in everyday. Sure, in some ways it still pushes the envelope, but I've yet to see a song about AIDS or dumpster babies.

I suppose what makes it good is the characters. For the most part they're realistic, and that's hard to find in any show that's animated.
