Let me help you out with that: There is no way we will actually manage to play more than about five or six hours of games across the whole weekend, so you don't need to bother packing too many games.

i figured that thats why i had just the 2 to start with and the other if we had time. i figured that the group would want to play more party games like Brawl, PSB, or nintendo land. anything else would just be used to to play if we got bored with those 3 (doubt it)

Has there been any news about events or (after watching Roy's video) will there be a video game orchestra again? i would LOVE to hear that.

There'll likely be concerts and such, though I don't know if anything specific has been confirmed yet.

@ Jody-

Roy's right about the limited amount of game time. Unfortunately due to the amount of time spent at the con, the travel time, and of course the regrettable need of human beings to sleep, time for gaming is going to be VERY limited. Oh, and of course we'll probably want to watch at least SOME anime! So, having said that, I wouldn't worry about bring more than the absolutely necessary multiplayer games.

@Jody, Everlong, et. all-

You guys are of course welcome to bring whatever you want, but as for Jody, I'd worry about having to bring too much luggage on the plane. If anything, I'd probably recommend Tighe bringing his if we absolutely must have two PS3s, as it'd be easier and cheaper for him to bring it.

Oh, and as for events, I don't think anything's been announced as of yet...you really have to just keep a close eye on the Acen site. A lot of times they won't amount the events until fairly close to the event, but you never know what might pop up. I'm actually excited to see which voice actors will be making it this time...even though I didn't get to see many last year...<_<

Chris Sabat was pretty bad ass though.

like I said I said the only reason I wanted to bring mine was because of the DLC for PSB but if Tighe plans on getting it also then i will just bring my Wiiu. i know we will only have a limited time i just wanted to make the most out of the time we will have. when again will we meet up again?

I know what you mean, I definitely want to make the most of our time too! As for when you can come, it's really up to you, Wednesday or Thursday. I know part of your decision may hinge on Roy.

No you may not know who that is because you never played Tekken (or Street Fighter x Tekken) his name is Bob (truly an original name) an American bounty hunter. He developed his body the way it is so he would not be easily defeated.

~~As far as travel I have found 2 different flights one for Wednesday that would arrive in Chicago at 5pm or one on Thursday at 12. I much prefer Wednesday because its later and (shocking) cheaper~~

EDIT: I went ahead and booked my tickets for Wednesday because there was only a few tickets left and the price was cheaper

If you had played Deadly Premonition, Jody, I'd suggest you cosplay as Forrest Kaysen. Cest la vie.

Okay, here's the deal:

I didn't get the job (that sucks), however my mum finally got someone to tell her what the actual staff rates are at Qantas; and they're so cheap (5% of whatever the price, plus tax) that, assuming she doesn't get fired between now and April, it shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, it means that I won't be able to 100% confirm my status until April. I'm buying a ticket in the next couple of weeks (well before I'd have to pick it up at the con) anyway, but it's nowhere near as clear cut as last time.

Wednesday's fine Jody, I'll make sure to get the proper time off. Your'e leaving Monday then, right? Btw he'd make a great character to cosplay as! Do you think most people would recognize him by site?

@Roy-
Sorry about the job, but while it's not %100 confirmed, I'm going to go ahead and assume you're going (I don't expect your Mom to get fired!). Having said that, and assuming you are going, when were you planning to arrive? Were you thinking Wednesday through Monday, like last time?

Btw, I've been texting with Luis for a bit tonight, and he's surprisingly open to the idea. We're actually going to talk about it tomorrow over the phone. I'm not going to get my hopes up, but the prospect of him going seems more likely than I originally thought.

And you're being very optimistic, Cory; she is worried she'll get fired. She's a safety officer (or something) and her boss is (or was?) annoyed with the lack of visible results of her work. Or something.

So guys I'm more than likely going to be joining you all at ACEN this year! I'm just going to have to talk to both my bosses about the time off. It shouldn't be a problem since I will be letting them know months in advance. However summer is the busiest time for me so we'll see...

With that being said, what days should I Request off? Wednesday-Monday or just the weekend? It seems like most of you will be coming on Wednesday, right? Keep in mind I only live about 35 minutes away from Cory's apartment so getting to and from won't be difficult.

Also, I drive a Jeep grand cherokee so if we need an extra car to lug our asses to the con I would be more than happy to drive ^-^

i wouldn't worry to much about taking off Wednesday I'm not sure about a flight for Roy but i will be there 5-6pm-ish that day so work and get a little extra cash haha. Thursday-Sunday is defiantly the days you NEED to be off.

Very good point Jody, in fact, it's completely crept up on me and I've really forgotten about it. I'll be on a bit later in the evening, otherwise I'll try to maintain more of a presence online at least through the week.

By the way, online registration ended yesterday, so I hope anyone who's set on coming has committed by now...lest you agonize in a 10 hour line! Crying or Very sad
