Mac vs PC the better one?

ok i have a question for every one that reads this. which is better. a mac or a pc? i have a pc and i just got a brand new job that pays a lot better! and the extra money i was planning on getting a new laptop but wanted to know if i wanted to get a better pc one or a mac. some one fill me in with more information

From my experience, I have to say that the PC is a lot better. Sure, macs look cool and have effects, but Windows beats it it almost every other way. The PC is easier to use, faster (from my experience at least) and overall much better IMO.

Well I know someone that has a MAC and the bluetooth on the MAC rules if you use bluetooth. Of course it has to be from MAC to MAC. I believe they tranfered a DVD movie in a few minutes by Bluetooth, that would be like 50 mb\sec speed, faster then the internet so I guess the Mac beats the PC in that area. But Im not used to a MAC and I voted PC because of that. But I heard the MAC was a bit different to used then the PC and M not sure what the graphic card is like on the MAC and if its good for playing games or not. But I know the MAC is bringin great new stuff like i life.

I guess it just depends on what you want. The PC is much more flexible, but if you play a LOT of games, or draw computer art, or something that the Mac specilizes in, you'll probably want it instead....personally, I like the PC.

I am by no means a computer expert, but I find the PC far more accessable and enjoyable to use. Then again, it's essentially the only computer system I've ever used, so naturally I'm a bit biased.

All I know is, I hate those stupid Mac commercials with the two guys.

I used both daily at work and I can tell you that it depends on what you're trying to compare. The Mac is mainly used for graphics and it's not as hard as one may think. It's quite user-friendly and there are practically no viruses. The PC is used for organizational purposes and is very reliable when it comes to storing information. It's not as user-friendly when compared to the Mac, but it gets th job done. As you all know, the PC risks viruses.

Let me set this straight. PC != Windows. And I really hate that Mac (and Windows) have tried to make that the case. A PC is a personal computer. A Macintosh computer is still a PC, it's just a brand of PC. Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

Anyway, with that off my chest, I prefer the non-Mac PC's. The reason for this is that Macs are terrible when it comes time to upgrade. You can't just rip out the graphics card and plug a new one in. You have to take it to a Mac store and purchase an upgrade. Plus, it is a lot cheaper to build something fantastic if you buy a PC part by part, or look for refurb deals.

I have a Gateway Desktop PC and a Dell Laptop PC, and I don't regularly use Windows on either one of them. I highly suspect that few of you have heard of or ever seen Linux, but it's my personal favorite operating system. Which is what you're really asking when you get into the "Mac vs. PC" thing, should I use Windows or OS X? OS X is a superior OS to Windows, but it takes a lot of getting used to for most people. If you want to play a lot of computer games, I would go with a Vista based PC, as most games are Vista compatible and only some are OS X compatible.

Right, I've waited for too long to get my hands dirtied in this subject.

Mac. Obviously, anyone who knows me here knows I prefer Mac, they are better, they just are, here's why.

1. No viruses or crapware - Even if it's because no viruses are made for Mac (which is not true), then it's still a plus, you don't get hassled by pre-installed trials of software on the system when you first install it, it's installed when you buy the computer, you buy the computer and that's it, not the computer, the monitor, the OS, the virus protection that still won't work 50% of the time, just a computer that is ready to go within 5 minutes.

2. Mac and PC - To be more specific and to keep True from saying anything, it's perfectly capable of running Mac OSX, any Linux, XP or Vista, both native and parallel. Even if there is something you need to run that only works on Windows, you can do it, chances are you've got an installation disk for the OS you need, install that and you've got 2 machines effectively running on the one piece of hardware.

I'm going to stop at that for now, since the last time I wrote something worthy of an intermission got lost from a session timeout on the forum.
