Seriously guys, this game is freaking awesome. I bought it, and I don't think I'll be putting the controller down for a long long while (except to post this, of course). It's got better controls than Excitetruck, and is just a whole lot more fun. Plus, it features some great online. Think about it guys, FTW game night featuring Excitebots? Sounds awesome to me.
It sells for $39.99 without the Wii Wheel, and personally I think that's a decent deal. I'd say if you've got the cash, it's really worth it.

Aw...sorry, I got ahead of myself.
Yes it's racing, but instead of cars or trucks you have robots. Animal robots.
Rather than competing for first, you must get a set number of stars. If you reach the goal, you proceed to the next race. It's incredibly fast, and along the way the game makes you preform mini-game like objectives to gain stars, which are some of the most insane things . But that's not the only way to gain stars, you get them from taking down other racers, doing tricks, getting air, tree runs, etc. Very rarely can you actually progress unless you get 1st or 2nd, since they net you the most stars.
I would say it's definitely an asset to the Wii, even if I'm not personally big into racers. I've heard it boasts some pretty good graphics as well as a great online mode. Can't really see why they avoided wiispeak...though...
If you've seen my portal post, I'm sure you know what's going on. If not, go check it out. But I'd like to get people's opinions on what's going on with FTW. Please post them here, and vote in the poll.

As you may have noticed, the site has been pretty slow lately...but I know everyone's been doing a little bit of lurking, so by now I'm sure you've seen each of the different chats. I changed to Everywhere chat as it seemed like it was what most people wanted, but unfortunately it was buggy and kept Smashed and a few others from being …
