Subject: Little Big Planet Q&A Tue Aug 30, 2011 12:35 pm
So while trying to decide which games to fill my Ps3 collection with there is no doubt in my mind that I will need a little big planet title. However, I am not sure if I should buy them both, at least not right now. For those of you who own them both and or played them both, which would you recommend I purchase first? If I buy the second is there even a need to buy the first? I don't know how much these games differ. I'm sure the second only has more content and probably includes everything that the first does, which make me question if purchasing the first is even necessary. Can any of you guys break down the differences for me?

I've been wondering this myself for sometime now. Thing is, I have the first Little Big Planet thanks to the PSN's Welcome Back Program. I was able to download it for free along with Infamous. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to play them since I need to upgrade my Hard Drive. My advice to you is that if you can find the first one for a very decent price, go for it.

i also got LBP due to the welcome back program and i have played it for a while now and while its great and all the main focus is the ability to create and share levels that you made and if you like me dont have the time (or patients) then 1 is just fine HOWEVER if your one that needs to make levels for the world to see and your a master at making them then go for 2. 2 has all the bells and whistles of 1 plus more the main differences i can see is do you just what to play it? or do you want to create it?

Hmmmmm so you are basically saying that LBP2 has everything LBP1 has plus more? If that is the case I don't really see a reason to buy them both. I'd most likely buy the second one, that way I know I have the most content. I'm afraid if I buy the first and fall in love with it, I may end up buying the second just for the little bit of extra stuff. I'll probably wait for the price to go down a little bit more though. How does online mode work?

online is very simple you have quick play that drops you into a random level that is made or there is a community tab. this shows 10-20 levels that are high rated or most popular you can play any level (even the ones built in) with up to 3 others. you can also search for certain levels by the username, title, or what is in the level (water, blocks, etc). i found some great ones done after mario kart and a zelda tune.

I changed to Everywhere chat as it seemed like it was what most people wanted, but unfortunately it was buggy and kept Smashed and a few others from being …
