Rockband + Friends = PURE AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8/19/09 12:04 AM
Ok, so tonight was the first night I've ever played Rockband with a decent sized group a friends, and I have to say it is possible the most amazing video game experience of my life. Being introduced to video games with Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country and the rest of the greatest generation of gaming, SNES, amazing, but I don't think anything in the world can compare to what I experienced tonight playing Rockband with friends. It was so amazingly fun, I personally am actually stunned by how much fun it was.
Rockband has been a very fun game playing it alone and with one other friend, but getting a group of people together and unleashing your inner rock star upon the world within your room is an amazing feeling. I was stuck singing because I like singing and I'm the only one that is actually any good. But you get that one song where someone just can't play a part of a song at the level they've been set at for every other song and you end up having to cover for them, including the time we had to restart the song 4 times trying to find the right fit for each of us in the song, even though I was beating it on each instrument.
It was great fun, and like I said, possible the most fun I've ever had with video games in my life. I really don't think anything compares to going through a 10 song set and just completely rocking out the whole time. Now the Beatles Rockband comes out in a couple weeks, and I can't see why that wouldn't just add to the amazingness level. I'm a huge Beatles fan and love almost everyone one of there many generations of music, you, they went through about six, and I can't wait for that game.
On another note, I played Madden 10 today for the first time, and it's awesome, probably the best football game I've ever played. I wasn't going to get it, but after the Vick and Favre signings, I might have to. I've wanted to play as Vick in a video game again for ages, and this will finally be my chance again. And I mention the Favre signing just because every time I say anything about it, it makes me laugh.
Well that's it for now, I think that wraps up a very nice first video game blog. Hopefully I'll keep this going and maybe throw in a few vlogs, and have some fun with the end of my summer.
