Well Im not sure if I should have posted this here but oh well. Just wanted to share something with the rest of ya and a question as well. Since I started playing GH or Rockband I started liking rock music more then I used to or the other kinda songs that are in it. And from what I can remember it has been like this in other games as well. Since I can remember I "always" liked the songs from most of the games, except the ones that really sucked lol. I wonder why, since some of them are/were really different from the kind that I usually listened to. What about you guys?
Here is an example of the kinda of music im into lately

Personally most licensed soundtracks in games aren't appealing to me. I like 80's hair metal, so rockband get's the occasional song from that generation, and I like 311. Although lately I've been getting into a lot of early 90's grunge, so Pearl Jam and Nirvana, which have a lot of tracks and rockband and guitar hero.

Thank you for sharing Waaar! To be honest, I'm down with any kind of music, especially in video games! I can agree that sometimes a certain genre from a soundtrack can make you grow more into that specific genre itself. It's happened to me before.

I noticed other guests are posting, so I guess I'll give my two cents.
Koji Kondo-legendary Nintendo composer. Hryule Field Theme, Zelda's Lullaby, Gusty Galaxy Theme, Super Mario World, etc etc
Nobuo Uematsu-Final Fantasy. Need I say more?
Motoi Sakuraba-Almost all of the Tales Series. Valkyrie Chronicles, Star Ocean.
The Japanese make the best videogame music, no one can argue that.

Nice tastes, Sakuraba is very underrated, for sure. I would say the Japanese have some pretty awesome musicians, but the U.S. does have a few too. If anyone's played Bioshock, you'll no doubt remember the Cello and Violin pieces by Gary Schyman. Here's an example-
I would say that gives Japanese composers a run for their money

I changed to Everywhere chat as it seemed like it was what most people wanted, but unfortunately it was buggy and kept Smashed and a few others from being …
