I'm starting a thread for all of the upcoming titles which will be shown at the Nintendo section of E3, which is coming up next week! In case you didn't know, The Electronic Gaming Expo, or "E3" is a HUGE game convention in Los Angelos in which game developers reveal all sorts of juicy details on upcoming games, and reveal future games to come...
So the point of this thread is to build up a list of info, videos, and articles of these games, so we can prepare for their release!! I'll start off with a few upcoming games...if anyone else has any info on upcoming games, POST THEM HERE!!!
"Before I get to what it is though, I need to say one thing: The following is nothing more than a rumor that has come to our attention. There exists no confirmation of it, and we in no way are saying that this is true. Please do not try and misconstrue it. With that in mind, let's get to what it is.
I received an email a few hours ago that, in short, said that a Super Mario RPG Sequel will be unveiled at this years E3. E3, as most of you know, is going on the next few days starting on Monday, July 14th.
Now, hear me out about this. The person who sent the email claims to be an inside source and has requested (obviously) to remain anonymous in telling us. If this person's claim is legit, then chances are this is true. However, I'll be honest: I do not think that this email is really all that legit. After trying to contact some other people, I've not been able to make a connection. But, at the same time, if this is a leak, then I wouldn't really be able to make any connection.
In short: Don't get your hopes up just quite yet. I'm not saying that a sequel wouldn't be announced at E3, but let's face reality: if it was an insider leaking news, chances are it would go to some big site like IGN or Gamespot, not a fansite like us. Is there a chance a sequel could be announced? Yes, but it's very unlikely, unfortunately.
If it's not true, well, that's why we're saying it's just a rumor. If it is, we're glad to bring it up first. I just wouldn't count on it at this point; we'll have to wait and see!"
(Obviously, I hope and pray for this to be true. It would be fantastic news!)
Make sure to watch g4tv tomororw or at least go to g4tv.com for E3 Info

meh...E3 isn't as great as it used to be, I've lost my interest in it... ~firegremlin~
why???
because big game companies (nintendo, microsoft, sony) don't give as much away as before AND because it is now inivitation-only! for gamers like ourselves E-for-all is a much better alternative ~firegremlin~
Edit: -Star Wars: Clone Wars Announced For Wii -Animal Crossing: City Folk Announcement Nintendo announces 'Animal Crossing: City Folk' will come to the Wii in 2008...
And there's more but Im too lazy to put them now I still need to read it !!

So, E3 of 2009 is approaching…I'm banking on Pikmin being talked about, I do hope Ninty announce another key franchise at their media summit, but not at E3, Pikmin/Kid Icarus/Something new entirely will be fine though.
Although I swear my eyes will roll straight out of my skull if they actually announce a new SSB.

Same general idea, but I'll look more like this
I really don't see them releasing a new one until the next system, or at least a couple years down the road. A new Zelda for the wii would be nice, but I think that's a year or two out also. Mario is more likely, but even Galaxy is still relatively recent.
I'd like to hear about a new Fire Emblem or Metroid (I'm curious where they'll go with the series after Metroid Prime.....I suspect some other bounty hunters will start getting some of the limelight)
All i can say is, at E3, nintendo has A LOT of fans to get back and are running out of time to do it... people are going to start making getting other systems if they dont hurry it up...

that is so true i mean look at me and maybe you and leon all thinking about or planning to get the xbox. i guess i should give thanks were thanks is needed (your were right about the xbox cory now i recomend that you try out SR1 or SR2)
heh, your welcome Jody, you know I always make good recommendations.
But yeah, people are lining up to buy other systems now, and the Wii armor is starting to show signs of age. There are a bunch of great games coming to the Wii soon, no doubt, but they NEED a hard hitter to really seal the deal. Why stop at Pikmin? Why not a new Zelda, Pikmin, AND Kid Icarus? Nintendo's got plenty of money right now...why the hell not? It would certainly shut up all of the critics.

ok, I think it's time for some enlightenment for you. The question for the Poll asks "A "Key" title will be announced for the Wii at E3. What do you think it will be?
First point: A KEY game WILL be released? Hah, I'll be shocked if this so-called 'key game' is more than a Wii Sports 3, or a Wii School or some crap like that. Look at Nintendo's KEY games so far, Animal Crossing - wow, a core of steel -, Wii Music - yay, let's pretend to play a flute to the Super Mario Bros. theme - and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games - finally SEga puts the last coin-riddled nail in Sonic's pathetic coffin, but this time they try (and succeed) taking Mario with him. Yeah, I have soooooo much faith now. Secondly, a new game will be released? Seriously, all of Nintendo's first parties are so bone-dry we are forced to hang every last of our fanboy hopes and wishes onto a game that rips off Lucas's lightsaber...fun
Second point: What do you THINK it will be? Now, here's the mix-up. I think you all are reading this but instead of seeing THINK you see HOPE WITH YOUR FANBOY HOPES. As much as I love the Kirby franchise, it is dead, and never coming back (until SSB4, which is as likely as smashed thinking straight and moving to Europe). Kid Icarus, did any of you even know that this title even existed before SSBB? Exactly. It's like when you're in primary school and there's a really uncool kid who everyone ignores then suddenly he has, say, inheirited a fortune and suddenly everyone's his best friend. It's really pitiful. And Donkey Kong and Starfox, when was that last made, like somewhere in the 1990s? They are extinct, more extinct than floppy disks. Granted pikmin, may have a chance but it's highly doubted as Pikmin 2 (or whatever) is being released as that new MotionPlus crap that probably does nothing but coincedently force you to buy another rubber condom off Nintendo to cover it up. And the old never-seen-before-SSBB-came-out Pikmin is being re-made for the Wii (probably the same) so yeah, no chance. Now we're onto Zelda. Why the f*** is it even called Zelda in the first place? It revolves around some random farm boy who generically is "the chosen one" who's not even called Link nowadays. anyway, Spirit Tracks *coughspinoff* has already been announced and Nintedo knows it'll sell a million copies because of the millions of Link fanboys (not Zelda fanboys...actually, most fanboys are so desperate so they probably are) and then they won't ave to make another Link game for half a century. OMG, I am ashamed of the one sad, sad person who voted a new SSB *pugs*. Seriously, do you really think that that'll happen? You poor deluded person. No way, there won't be another SSB game forat least five years, that is if they even do make another which is one more doubt to add to the list. And a laugh at the whopping three people who have decided to entrust themselves so saying 'something new entirley'. I mean, come on! We are talking about the same Nintendo here, right? The newest thing they brought out recently was probably Wii Music! So yeah, a new Mario and Link game were promised for this year and the Link is Spirit Tracks so by my awesome powers of Yatzhee-esque deduction I pronounce the "Key" title to be Mario...not that I want this (YBRIKTNAWI).
P.S. btw you all know I'm right so hah!

I really don't care anymore, I want a real DK game, but I think it will most likely be Zelda or something new entirely. And this "new" game won't be something we really want, it's something Nintendo assumed we wanted but we really don't.

heh, well then this E3 would be a complete rehash of last year's E3...an E3 Iwata literally had to apologize for. Hopefully Nintendo would learn its lesson by now, but then again, they have a history of being stuborn about these things...

i think nintendo will release the new game information on there "key" games after E3 they never release it at E3 its always before or after and example of this is SSBB it first teaser trailer was befor E3 it was not till E3 that there was another trailer and a release date that was then pushed back (>_>) so i dont look for the wii game to be that big at E3 maybe the new zelda sprit tracks or conduit but as for the new zelda/mario/pikman/DK/Mario RPG/ ect.... i dont see it happening microsoft and sony however will blow it away with all there new games and then when the fall gets here nintendo will blow every one away with there new games that every one wants and forget all about PS3 and Xbox (fanboy rant over )

Well, rumors abound!
High Voltage Studios (The Conduit) is saying that they have 2 exclusive Wii titles in development.
Rumored Retro Studios game.
Rumored Factor 5 game.
Rumored Monolith Soft RPG.
IGN has put up a teaser image of a game that will be announced at or around E3.
I've seen some guys saying that they've got solid sources saying there will be a Donkey Kong game announced.
And me? I'm sticking with my GTA Wii prediction.
Of course....No hype, no disappointment.
The Nintendo Keynote will be held at 9:00 A.M. PST on june 2nd, 2009.

I'm personally keeping my predictions open at the moment...which is a good plan of action when dealing with Nintendo...
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Mario Galaxy 2 or a new Zelda, but either of them would be fine, especially with a Pikmin 3 which is certainly coming. A combination of the two would be enough to pick Nintendo back up, and anything more would be phenomenal. Either way, Nintendo is beginning to lag behind the PS3 in Japan, so it's about time they step up their game.
And also, I could be wrong, but I swear I saw something about Factor 5 closing its doors on IGN...hope I'm wrong.

Ah well, here's the Factor 5 Article I was referring to...a shame, really.
But Factor 5 lives on, just not the San Rafael studio. Apparently the projects they were working on were all given to the branch in Germany.

I think the 3rd parties have once again saved the Wii this time around. There's no doubt that Nintendo has picked up its game this time around, but compared to 3rd party offerings, I feel Nintendo has some work to do...just compare the list-
Nintendo Wii- Mario Galaxy 2 New Super Mario Bros 2. Metroid: The other M Wii Sports Resort Wii Fit 2 Sin & Punishment 2
3rd Parties- No More Heroes 2 Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Murumasa: Demon Blade Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles Dead Space: Extraction Monster Hunter 3 Red Steel 2 Bethesda Project Ju-on(the grudge) Little King's Story The Grinder Gladiator A.D. The Conduit
That's all I can think of off the top of my head...but clearly the 3rd parties are picking up the pace...although, Nintendo's not doing bad either.
